We set Southend Young Carers the challenge of designing our Citroen C3 Aircross for Easter!

• To raise awareness of a great local organisation and give the Young Carers an opportunity to have some fun, we asked the carers to design our Citroen C3 Aircross with an Easter pattern. See more about Southend Young Carers at the end of the article. 

  With careful consideration, we decided that Thomas’ design was the winner of our competition. His design featured a stunning rainbow on the front and back of the car and some brilliant brightly coloured easter eggs! Check out his original design here >

• Our vehicle graphic designer, Paul from Sixty Four Deluxe was sent the Easter design, a task that he had never completed before, and began the visual graphics for the C3 Aircross.

  When the C3 Aircross had the design printed on the vehicle, it was ready for its big reveal. On the 20^th April, our Brand Director, Kristian Hills and Southend Citroen Manager, Mark Roper, drove the car to a beautiful spot in Southend, near the seafront ready for its big reveal. They definitely turned a few heads while driving down the road.

• Upon arrival, Thomas was already there and eager to see his design, and spotted us coming down the road, as we weren't hard to miss. The smile on his face was unforgettable and all the Young carers were thrilled to see the design on the car too. The Young Carers, Staff and Parents arrived for the event too and all admired the car. Thomas received two great big Easter Eggs, as his prize, as shown in our image article and a C3 model car too, so he won’t forget yesterday in a hurry.

  The Citroen C3 Aircross will be available to see at our Citroen Southend showroom, so pop in and see Thomas’ unique design and grab a picture!

• About Southend Young Carers

  Southend Young Carers is a charitable organisation that is supported by Children in Need.  They support children aged 5 – 17 years of age that are unpaid carers to their family members due to illness, terminal illness, disability, mental health issues & addiction.

  They play such a vital part within our local community by raising awareness & identification of young carers. They offer weekly respite groups for their young carers to receive a well-deserved & needed break from their caring responsibilities. The weekly club offers a wide range of different activities each week for the children to enjoy.

  They also provide a monthly event which allows young carers to come together & have a day out at some wonderful & exciting places. They also run online sessions for those who may not be able to attend the activities in person.
