Toomey Dacia visits Earl's Hall Primary School Summer Fete

We took part in Earl's Hall Primary School Summer Fete this July, to help raise money for outdoor classrooms.

• This July the team at Toomey Dacia Southend joined the Summer School Fete at Earls Hall Primary School to help raise funds to enable the school to plan and build some new outdoor classrooms for the children.

  Firstly, an enormous well done goes to all the members of the PTA group, who are an active group of parents, teachers and members of the community, for organising the events for the day. The PTA group was able to organise a range of bouncy castles for the school children to play on, plus food and drink stalls to keep everyone fed and watered for the day! Additionally, the team contacted local businesses' to receive raffle donations, to help fundraise even more for the school.

• SupaGuard Raffle Prize

  Brandon, one of our Sales Executives from the team at Toomey Dacia Southend, took the New Dacia Jogger to show parents the latest 7-seater model, as well as donating a SupaGuard kit for the raffle the Fete held.

  To demonstrate the benefits and features of SupaGuard, we brought a boot cover which had the treatment applied to it, one half with and one side without, so people could see for themselves what this product can do and get passers-by engaged with the raffle. SupaGuard provides treatment for both the interior and exterior of your car, allowing you to protect the fabric and paint work.

• A message from the PTA Co-Chair

  Cindy Heath, the Co-Chair of the PTA Group, has put together a great message sharing what our donation and funds from the Summer Fete went towards, make sure you give them a follow on Facebook, to keep up to date with their local news and progress of the classrooms!

   

  "The Friends of Earls Hall PTA are an active group of parents, teachers and members of the community who come together with one common goal - to raise funds for our lovely school to further enrich the childrens time there. 

  As a group we hold small events throughout the year from uniform and cake sales to sponsored bounces! Our Summer Fete is our biggest event and this year will be our first since 2019, so we are very excited to have the backing of Dacia and the Toomey Motor Group! 

  This year we have been given a huge challenge by our Headmaster - to raise funds for a “living roof” for our outdoor Forest Friends area. Sadly this area was destroyed by the storms in February this year. 

  Outdoor learning gives children the opportunity to explore nature and the outdoors in a safe, secure and hands on way. Studies have shown children who experience Forest Schools are more socially aware, able to concentrate better and show more consideration to others. Learning goes further than the classroom at Earls Hall Primary!
