Toomey Hyundai Southend

I visited just over a week ago after having the last rights read on my 10 year old Ford Focus. I'd been researching Hybrid SUV's as I wanted a vehicle with substantially more boot space, and the Hyundai Tuscon looked like it would fit the bill. Andy Marshall came out on to the forecourt as we were looking at the vehicles and invited us into the showroom to discuss further. Following a pleasant discussion regarding our options and with the vehicle we were interested in, in stock, we entered into negotiations, and a week later, I picked up my new vehicle. Andy could not have been more helpful, and I would recommend him to anyone visiting this dealership.

Had the most amazing service and experience from our salesman Mark who made the whole process of buying a new car. His enthusiasm for the brand and all round knowledge was invaluable and he made both myself and family feel comfortable and at ease, went the extra length and hope the he gets the 5 star recognition he deserves..Thank you Mark from my wife and my daughter ..your a Star!

Dragos and Rebecca were both really helpful in helping us choose our next car. They were attentive without being pushy. And when I picked the car up they made sure they we understood all of the car and how everything worked. They have also rung since to check everything is okay and made sure that we know we can call anytime if we have questions.

As usual, good service, didn't take too long. Could understand the mechanic video clearly this time from Dylan Bobin and Jamie was helpful with setting up a service plan for another vehicle and getting me a cuppa tea while waiting. Only issue is halfords tyre repair is £7.40 less and they can do a free health check too.

Both Craig and Dragos made the process of buying and collecting our new car very straightforward with all our questions answered with knowledge. Our second Tuscon. We dealt with Mark Stooshnoff for the purchase of our new car. He was very good and communicative throughout, all queries were dealt with professionally and timely. Only downside was Hyundai (outside of Marks control) were not able to supply the vehicle for the originally agreed timeframe. However, would definitely recommend Mark and would buy from there again.

I had a great experience buying my brand new Hyundai i10 this week at Toomey Southend. My first service with Hyundai Southend on 28/2/24. Previously I made a few enquiries by telephone as I have not used Southend Hyundai before. All my questions were answered in a very professional and understanding manner. Before my service I had a slight issue with my car and had to see if I could get the car in earlier that day for them to check it. I spoke with Charlie and he could not have been more accommodating and I dropped the car off lovely and early that day. Jamie dealt with my booking in of the car, he kept me updated throughout the day explaining of advisories and work needed with immediate attention. I would like to mention both Charlie and Jamie were so polite and reassuring that I felt better leaving the car there. I recently purchased my third Hyundai from Southend, The Tucson has a sleek and compact design along with impressive functionality. Your representative Kevin Twinn was, professional, knowledgeable and extremely patient and understanding. I have problems with my mobility and as a result had to change the car. Kevin was able to understand what I needed and as a result the whole process was smooth from start to finish. We purchase the Kona N line for extra leg room and the raised height helps with getting in and out. I would highly recommend Hyundai to anyone thinking of upgrading their car, and who is looking for excellent customer service.

Toomey Hyundai have serviced my car, investigated and then resolved an electrical issue with my car. I have found their work to be thorough and of high quality. Their online system that provides a video and report of the work they have carried out is particularly good. However the customer experience is, for me, where they excel. My main dealings have been with Zach who has been brilliant; always friendly, polite and genuinely does everything he can to help. This review would have been 5 stars were it not the fact that initially it was difficult to get in contact with, and updates from, another member of the service department.

My car had to be taken to southend toomey hyundai, Jamie Barrett and Zachary Huskisson were very kind, polite and helpful and always quick for replying to my emails , they were quick to get the car In looked at and to send the quote off to durham toomey to settle everything . We called in to the Southend showroom over the weekend and had a good wander round. Daisy asked if we needed any help and within an hour and half we'd bought a car! Daisy was extremely approachable, easy to talk to and was really knowledgeable and was able to answer the many questions we had as it's been so long since we've bought a car. Having taken the car for a test drive, Daisy and Craig put a package together for us and the deal was done. I had my car serviced at Southend Hyundai today, Zach in the service department was courteous, efficient and kept me informed along the way, and only recommended work required, at no time did they try to force me to have unnecessary jobs carried out. Car was returned cleaned inside and out. Not the best cleaned as I am quite particular in this department a final wipe down where parked would of helped other than this all great work.

Two weeks ago we went into Toomey Hyundai Southend to discuss/test drive a car through Motability. Due to it being over New year and skeleton staff we were told we would have to either wait for someone to become available to take us for a test drive or return a couple of days later when more staff would be available, this was completely understandable as we hadn't booked an appointment and we returned two days later and had the pleasure of dealing with Daisy Pallet. Daisy took us for the test drive, explained all the features and answered all of our questions. As this is a car that also has to be adapted for my daughter to drive it is imperative we get it right as she cannot test drive it herself. Daisy gave us the time we needed, was friendly and professional in making sure everything was correct for her needs, even down to choosing the right colour! The application for the car was made and as promised 2 weeks later Daisy phoned us with an update on the progression. Hopefully this will continue until we take possession of the car due end of March. We were made to feel welcome, were not rushed and would recommend anyone looking for an Hyundai to visit the showroom.

Went to this Hyundai dealership a couple of times and I was clear that I would not be able to make a purchase as my business leases vehicles for me. This did not deter any of the team from being generous with their time and eager to assist. I didn’t catch the young ladies name from my first visit but she was most helpful. On the next couple of trips I was lucky enough to chat to Kevin who was happy to share his experience and was a first class ambassador for the brand. Their welcoming and attitude and relaxed manner means we would definitely recommend this dealership and I will be ordering the new Kona. Cheers guys.

Zach & Lewis, the master technician pulled out all the stops to get my car back on the road a couple of weeks ago. My car had developed a huge coolant leak which had only become apparent very suddenly. Toomey Hyundai Southend was the only garage in the vicinity to fortunately have the genuine part in stock. By the time the fault had been diagnosed and I had managed to get the car to them, it was late afternoon. Despite this and amongst all their other work, they still managed to get my car repaired before close of play & by all accounts it was not an easy repair. All of this was done with a calm and understated professionalism. Without their help I would have been stranded away from home without a car which was essential for my job in providing urgent 24 hour cover for multiple hospitals in the area that night. I am still stunned by what they managed to achieve in getting my car fixed that day.

We recently bought a car from this dealership for the first time, we'd switched as the previous dealership we used had really fallen in quality. So happy we went here as the service has been spectacular from our first visit, to the delivery of the vehicle. Got a car at the weekend on Motability and I can’t stress how brilliant they are at Hyundai. We initially spoke to Mark and then followed up with Craig and he was beyond fantastic. I recently purchased a used Hyundai Kona from Toomey Southend, I had put a deposit down on a different model but had a change of mind, I was looked after by Phil Webster and he handled the sale excellently. He was very knowledgeable on the test drives explaining the different features of the car. Always patient and helpful and never pushy. All in all a very pleasant transaction. Booked a test drive appointment for a new car. On arriving I was looked after by Kiera Heath. She couldn't be more helpful. Friendly and although new she really knew about the cars and was always ready to answer questions. Although we bought from a different manufacturer I will definitely recommend her for any Hyundai buyers.

Service team were excellent, especially Alex. Extremely courteous, TV in the very comfortable waiting area lets you know what stage your vehicle is at. The team took time to listen to my concerns regarding defects and assured me I will be receiving a call within the next fortnight regarding warranty returns. Much, much better than the experiences at other Hyundai service centres. Criticism, none really other than no biscuits with the coffee, limited reading material while waiting, and the fact that Alex is a spurs supporter ????????. Overall a very pleasant experience

I took my ionic hybrid in for a service and was greeted warmly by Jamie who put me at ease immediately and showed me what was to be done in the process, he made coffee for me put me in a comfortable quiet place where i could wait and read and assured me that it would be done as quick as possible as i’m disabled. Jamie came to check i was ok regularly and when the work was done he explained clearly all aspects of the service, i was so pleased with my personal treatment and it was so welcome in an age where no one seems to have time for anyone so thank you Jamie and all at Hyundai.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Phil welcomed me into the showroom and took the time to talk through what I was looking for. We looked at a couple of options and I decided on the best option to suit my needs, there was no hard sell and I’m over the moon with my new car. The whole team made me feel welcome during my two visits to the showroom and I’ve have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

While initial experience with this dealership was good, things are not as good as they seemed. In February we exchanged our petrol Kona for a used electric Kona. We had a private plate on our car and Toomeys agreed to arrange for it to be transfered to the new Kona, but unfortunately the salesperson dealing with us was too eager to register the sale and made a mistake that prevented the transfer to be carried out on-line. Since then we have continually contacted the manager who delayed selling on our old car, who has been trying to contact DVLA. However that car has now been sold and we are still without the private plate and it is now the end of September. Contact with the manager is very sporadic. We are pleased with the car, but this issue is getting beyond a joke. Update. Finally got my private plate restored. Problem was mainly with DVLA. Mark actually replaced the plates himself while we had a coffee in his office. I realise that he was almost as frustrated as we were with the time it took to resolve this issue. It has been a learning curve all round and we are pleased with the end result. I have upped the star rating to reflect this. So a warning to anyone who wished to change a private plate onto their next vehicle. Make sure the retention document is completed on-line BEFORE the sale is registered. Update: Feb 2024. Had my Kona EV serviced and MoT'd. Good job was done and very efficiently. Thank you to Jamie in the service department for looking after things. Update March 2024. Following my vehicle sevice I was quoted for a small bodywork repair that I needed. Today I tried to contact Toomey Hyundai with no success. Was placed in a queue for ages. Gave up and tried a another contact number - ended up in the same queue. Tried the online "chat" where I am supposed to chat to a "real" person. Total failure. It seems that in the 2020's no company wants to actually speak to their customers. They are happy to accept money but are reluctant to provide any form of customer service. I am not faulting the people at Toomey but the technology they use lets them down.

Been messed about by Hyundai changing their dealerships in Chelmsford and Basildon at short notice. Finally managed to get my annual service but mapping updates couldn't be done. Took my Kona to Toomey's at Southend today and the mapping has been sorted out perfectly with all my settings still there. Very good friendly service. Many thanks to Zack.

Had a great experience with Toomey Hyundai. We just purchased our i30 after initially contacting them through Carwow just a few days prior. The whole team is friendly but special praise must go out to Mark S who I felt handled everything fantastically and kept me up to date at all stages of the purchase. I really enjoyed this purchase and noticed a lot of extra care and efforts that I haven't seen from other dealerships. Other than that, the showroom is also well stocked and well lit and creates a great atmosphere to explore all the different options available. I had a really lovely experience at Toomey Hyundai Southend. Everybody is very friendly and it creates a relaxing atmosphere. Daisy was so helpful, friendly and efficient when doing the test driving and going over the documentation. The whole process was very quick and i was able to pick up my car within days. On collection day Rebecca was so organised and sorted out all my paperwork. Rebecca showed me all around the car and explained the car functions, even helped connect my phone to the car. The best car showroom, sales and aftercare I've ever experienced.

Asked them for a little info, and without my permission they used my mobile to spam me adverts. All the different manifestations of Toomey spam you, have had this issue many times in the past. Blocked them now, and reported it as spam. To their credit the manager contacted me, he seemed to think that the spamming was from Hyundai, but it did appear from Toomey. I respect the fact he bothered to contact me which I s why I changed it from 1-3 stars, but sadly spamming is endemic in the whole Toomey group, and it needs to be addressed at a corporate level so as to stay within their GDPR duties.

When we went to pick it up she went through all the important information and she came with us when we went for a drive and pointed out different aspects of the controls and screens. As it’s basically a computer with wheels Mark was able to educate me on the workings of this incredible car. I picked up my Sante Fe plug in hybrid on Friday 31st March. Since I had to travel from Bristol to collect it I would have expected lots of complications in the purchasing and collection process. From initial enquiry to collection took less than 4 weeks and that included waiting for delivery of the vehicle from Tilbury Docks. I found all the staff, especially Charlie O'Connor, most helpful and informative and what could have been a difficult experience turned out to be extremely easy. They even picked me up from the station on the day of collection - a nice touch. I now intend to enjoy driving what so far is a vehicle that has exceeded my expectations.

We spotted a used Hyundai i10 in brilliant condition on the website, so we booked a test drive. As a first time car buyer the paperwork was slightly overwhelming, but they were happy to explain everything in detail and we were given time to think things over so we could make the best decision for us. After an extended test drive just 3 weeks later i was lucky enough to collect my 23 plate IONIQ 5. Part exchanging a vehicle can be a bit daunting but the friendly and professional staff at Toomey Hyundai Southend who handled the complete exchange for me made the process stress free. My initial telephone contact was with Vicky Drew who gave me a brief description of the vehicle I was interested in and explained how to place a refundable reservation on it. I was also emailed a video presentation of the vehicle so that I could inspect it remotely. When me and my wife arrived at the Southend site Charlie O’Connor greeted us and showed us around the vehicle we had come to see. His knowledgeable and friendly demeanour put us at ease as he talked us through the details of the vehicle and answered all our queries and explained the process of exchanging our vehicle. Finally on the handover day Charlie conducted the purchase and vehicle registration process for our old and new vehicles for us. I would definitely use this dealership again.

I arrived at Southend Hyundai dealership the day they opened up at Toomey's site. I was looking to buy a new Hyundai i10 SE CONNECT 1.2 5DR. AUTO.
