Understanding the features in your Nissan

Getting a new car can often be daunting and with modern technology updates, each button has a new function. This short guide offers you direction on the most recent and useful technology installed into your new Nissan.

  • Heating your seats

The heated seat button is often located by the heating functions of your vehicle and your vehicle may come with rear heated seats. This feature is very useful in the winter months but can be tricky to understand. Whether your vehicle has two amber lights or three, each light indicates a temperature rise and will warm your vehicle further.

  • Seat Adjustments

Long are the days when you turn the notch and your seat adjusts to the perfect height. Most modern Nissan vehicles now use buttons for seat adjustments on the driver and sometimes the passenger side. The rocker switch is for mid-back support as well as lower-back adjustments. The multifunction button allows you to adjust you to adjust the tilt of your seat to make a more comfortable recline.

  • Connecting your Bluetooth

Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay functions allow you to jam out to your favourite artists and arrive safely at your destination with Google Maps. Sometimes connecting your device can be tricky but Nissan vehicles have a simple 2-step process to add your phone to your car. On your in-vehicle screen select connect > connect new device and on your phone head to your Bluetooth settings and connect to MYCAR. From there you’ll be connected to Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth functions.

  • Turning on the fans

Sometimes the fans in your vehicle can be tricky to navigate. The display can either look like the above with buttons and notches or be a touchscreen display. Most Nissan vehicles bought in the United Kingdom will have the button and notch combination and to cool your car you must turn the notch to the left and to warm your vehicle you turn it to the right.

To turn on the fans that are in front of the passenger side look for the icon that has a seat and arrows pointing towards the seat. To turn on the aircon for your front window look for the window icon rounded at the top and arrows pointing upward.
