What is the ULEZ?

Introduced in April 2019, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) aims to enhance air quality in the city by substantially decreasing emissions from vehicles. The outcomes thus far have been highly encouraging, with nitrogen oxide (NO2) levels in Central London alone witnessing a reduction of approximately 46%.

The ULEZ Expansion will affect so many people living in and outside of the zone, whether you're a resident within the area, or you commute to and from your workplaces that pass through the zones. Entering these zones with a non-ULEZ-compliant vehicle could see you facing charges of up to £12.50 a day, or even up to £87.50 a week.
